I am thinking about a new wedding band for my husband. I really like the alternative metal wedding bands. It seems like they are the best value for what you get. It is just a ring anyways right? I like the look of platinum rings. Who wouldn’t? It is naturally white unlike white gold rings. But because they are 95 percent pure platinum the price is up there. One good alternative is palladium rings. You would want to look for a quality palladium wedding band because there are some that are less than 50 percent palladium and other kind of junk metals.
Back to the alternative metals, there are a lot of choices. From what I have read and what I have seen there are many options. The most popular being tungsten rings. Tungsten really started being used in the early 2000’s. I really like wide tungsten wedding bands. A wide ring really looks masculine. The only problem with tungsten rings is they are a lot darker than platinum and palladium. It isn’t too dark but side by side it doesn’t match a diamond ring.
I haven’t heard too much about cobalt chrome rings but they seem to match really well with platinum and white gold. If someone knows about them just leave a comment. I just want to get the right ring. After all it is a symbol of commitment. I want it to look great!
