Aurora Bank

How convenient it is to do online banking rather than going to the local bank yourself to take care of your finances or business. Online banking (or internet banking) by the way allows customers to conduct financial transactions on a secure website operated by their retail or virtual bank, credit union or building society.

I love the idea of being able to safely check our bank accounts, pay bills, monitor closely of our finances and etc. on our own computer. I feel I am in control of our accounts, more empowered and most of all online banking saves us time and energy. With just a click of a mouse, we can view how much money we left there is and we are able to view past purchases and previous bill payments. One more thing, transferring money from one account to another is so much easier and would only takes seconds to do it. It is one of the greatest features of online banking that I love for when I'm out of funds in my account, I just have to transfer some from our joint account. Isn't that cool?

Almost all banks I believe offer online banking features making it easier for their clients to do whatever they need to do without leaving their home. Aurora bank for example encourages clients to sign up for Aurora Bank FSB online banking service for those who haven't signed up.

However though, there is a slight disadvantage that comes with online banking. In my personal opinion, once the computer is infected with malicious spy ware, you cannot be 100% sure that all your information including your login and financial information are safe. Another thing, if you are the type of person that loves to choose an option "remember me" or save a login information on sites you frequently use, there is a possibility that a hacker or a thief can gain access to your most secret accounts once the computer itself is stolen.

Crimes happen day or night, who knows during your good and peaceful sleep during the night an intruder would break into your house, your laptop is out there ready for a grab and boom! It's gone. Now what do you do to stop them from checking your computer, checking your browsing history or saved websites including your bank's website and there it is, your login information including password are ready to be entered.

How about you people out there? How do you like online banking?
