A Great Alternative

I am so worried and not happy of the news that's been circling the internet or on the news about some banks are going to charge their customers certain fees every time they use their debit cards next year. One specific bank they mention is the Bank Of America. We, as Bank Of America customers are saddened to hear this. We are trying to save our money and would only spend it to necessary things we need but then they are going to charge us when we use our cards? I don't think that is fair.

In fact, some small business have already moved their business accounts to small banks in their towns to avoid the fees. I guess we have to do that as well when the fees start coming in or otherwise use a great alternative to this by using Green Dot's visa debit card. It is actually a reloadable prepaid card wherein you can control your spending. You put money in this card and monitor how much is left there without being charged of overdraft fees when a substantial amount of spending being done to this card for it simply deny the transaction if it is almost out of balance. Great, isn't it?

Just like a regular debit card, you can use it everywhere safely even on the internet. You can trust that it won't reveal your banking information. Reloadable means you can add cash, paychecks or other funds to the card over and over again. Possessing a debit or bank card like this is awesome. You can put your mind at ease knowing that you cannot get into credit card debt. It is that simple!

The primary market for prepaid cards are unbanked people, an umbrella term used to describe diverse groups of individuals who do not use banks or credit unions for their financial transactions. More of the advantages of having a debit card like Green Dot's are it makes people feel safer than carry cash, worldwide functionality due to Visa and MasterCard merchant acceptance, it offers the ability for anyone over the age of 18 to apply and be accepted without regard to credit quality and the ability to direct deposit paychecks and government benefits onto the card for free.

I really have to sit down and have a talk with my husband about getting a prepaid debit card, it is not only good for myself but for both of us who don't have a lot of money to give out to the banks for free. He is just a regular working guy and I, a stay-at-home mom trying to help the husband save the money he earned every two weeks.
