Freeshipping.com – Simple To Cancel

Guest Post by Steve Hendley

One of the things that always push me to look favorably upon a membership service—especially one that is involved with online rewards programs—is its cancellation policy. This is really a valuable policy to have whenever you are signing up for something you might one day want to cancel, for several reasons. Of course, the obvious reason is that if you do decide to cancel, you don’t want it to be a whole ordeal to actually do so. The less obvious reason to look for a good cancellation policy , but in my opinion the more important and more telling reason, is that a service that makes it easy for its customers to cancel is probably an honest and forthright one that is not trying to hide anything from its customers or short change them in any way.

Freeshipping.com is generally the default company I turn to when trying to illustrate the importance of this concept. They offer a service that can be purchased for an monthly fee and through which their members receive benefits at thousands of online partners, mostly involving rebates for free shipping, consumer protection benefits, and additional offers and coupons. All in all, it is a service that, when used properly by avid online shoppers, definitely has the potential to log some serious savings. But there are other companies out there that are offering either the same or quite similar types of savings. This is where the cancellation policy, which plays more broadly into what I will call the company’s “information policy”, can be a deciding factor in making a buying decision. It may not seem like a big deal, but it is important to know that if you decide to go elsewhere, you won’t have to prod freeshipping.com to cancel your membership. It is comforting to know that a company will respect your rights as a consumer.

When you are looking at companies that seem to be offering the same thing, knowing how to analyze the information or policy can be extremely helpful. On freeshipping.com’s website, you will find pages of rich content describing exactly what their services are, answering the questions you will have, and outlining any other important information. Throughout the sign-up process you are also reminded of important info and of the simple cancellation policy. You can cancel at any time, no questions asked, and free of charge. Your account will be closed and no longer billed. And, they make it easier by providing several ways to get in touch with them about cancelling. A company that is as committed to informing their consumers as selling them on its products is the kind you want to be doing business with.

These are precisely the principles that have earned freeshipping.com ratings from its customers that praise the service. And if you want my opinion, all I’ve said here should give you an idea of what my rating would be. Give it some thought and do your due diligence – I know that the program is worth every penny, and with the no-cost review there’s plenty of time to figure out if that’s the case for you as an individual.
